Job Description

A Leading Publishing Company located in Morris County, New Jersey has an opportunity for a Payroll Manager who will be responsible for:


  • Provide oversight and leadership over all payroll functions, including regulatory compliance, employment tax, staffing, system upgrades and audits
  • Administer all aspects of payroll staffing, professional development, vendor relationships, and employee relations
  • Develop and maintain payroll processes and internal control to preserve the quality, efficiency and overall effectiveness of all payroll functions and regulatory compliance
  • Responsible for communicating payroll policies and changes to all employees
  • Ensure accuracy in time keeping, compensation, benefits and deductions, taxes, garnishments
  • Partner with related departments to ensure that payroll system is set up to comply with all payroll and benefit-related policies, including regulatory compliance
  • Oversee all areas of external payroll and benefits audit
  • Prepare and analyze pertinent payroll reporting for management review, including budgeting and variance reporting
  • Accurate and timely delivery of reports to comply with all labor laws.


Qualified Candidates for the Payroll Manager role should possess:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance a plus
  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Knowledge of ADP Payroll System a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


The total compensation range is from $75,000 to $80,000 plus bonus and great benefits.
