Job Description

A Leading Publishing Company located in Union County has an opportunity for a Payroll Associate who will be responsible to:
  • Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for 1,000+ employees at various locations via ADP platform
  • Prepare and process final checks and any other off-cycle checks as needed
  • Maintain a 24 hour payroll call return standard
  • Ensure that company paychecks are processed accurately and on a timely basis
  • Make sure checks are calculated with correct earning, deduction and general ledger codes
  • Ensure that all checks are pre-approved, according to company policies
  • Research and resolve employee payroll related questions and problems
  • Confirm labor coding is accurate and timely (while processing payroll)
  • Provide effective and efficient HRIS support and analysis
  • Coordinate and distribute employee yearly tax information
  • Review payroll to assure it is accurate, timely and organized according to departmental needs and priorities
  • Process regulated communications and notifications of garnishments are handled in a timely and accurate
Qualified Candidates for the Payroll Associate role should possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance a plus
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Knowledge of ADP or Ceridian a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
The total compensation range is from $55,000 to $65,000 plus bonus and great benefits.
