Job Description

A Leading Consumer Goods Firm located in Bergen County, NJ is searching for a Collections Associate with the following responsibilities:
  
  • Manage assigned customer account base and maintains the primary relationship with the Accounts Payable department at each customer
  • Placing and receiving a large volume of phone calls to assigned customers
  • Reduce delinquencies through collection effort and other guidelines
  • Resolve any customer account issues including reconciling any differences
  • Send final demand letters to delinquent customers
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on past due accounts
  • Review and evaluate credit limits and extension of credit
  • Release customer orders
  • Notify sales force of any customer issues
  • Cash Application and Adjustments
  • Cross train within the department

Ideal candidates for this position will have
   
  • Bachelor’s Degree a plus
  • Large ERP system knowledge a plus
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel a must
  • High level of accuracy and organizational skills
