Job Description

A Leading Non-Profit Organization located in Bergen County, New Jersey is searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk who will handle the following responsibilities:
  
  • Assist in the completion of Accounts Payables function including entering receipt and disbursement transactions into QuickBooks, and tracking A/P
  • Set up new vendor accounts
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Enter all invoices using appropriate documentation
  • Insure that approvals are consistent with our internal policies
  • Review staff reimbursement requests and prepare payments
  • Make deposits as needed
  • Enter bank account transactions into QuickBooks
  • Reconcile development department data vs QuickBooks
  • Assist with yearly tax return and audit
  • Maintain orderly accounting records and files, both electronic and paper
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents
  • Assist with other clerical/administrative duties, as needed
  • File all invoices electronically and hard copies in the filing cabinet
  • Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned
  
  
Qualified candidates for the Accounts Payable Clerk should possess:
  
  • An Associate’s degree a plus
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel
