Job Description

A Leading Insurance Firm located in New York City is searching for an Accounting Clerk who will handle the following responsibilities:
  
  • Effectively process Payroll
  • General ledger account analyses and reconciliations
  • Support CFO with basic administration
  • Ad hoc analyses and special projects
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries
  • Month-end and year-end closings
  • Provide reports and fulfill information requests from external and internal auditors
  • Maintain internal accounting controls that are consistent with Company requirements
  • General accounting matters; research, analyses and reporting
  • General Bookkeeping
  
Qualified Candidates for the Accounting Clerk role should possess:
  
  • A Bachelor's degree a plus
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
The total compensation range for the Staff Accountant role is from $40,000 to $45,000 with a competitive benefits package.
